Picking outfits for your session can be stressful and time consuming. But it can also be F U N !

Below I have included a guide to help you prepare and get ready for your session.

I know buying an outfit you’ll only wear once is sometimes not the option. 


I have invested so much time into growing my client closet- it’s something I have enjoyed so much. Whether we are capturing your family, your newborn or just your little one’s, I can help with your outfits! I have a variety of styles, colors and textures ranging from Newborn to Woman’s 3XL for all the females in your family. I do have some options for your little guy from Newborn - 2T.

 

Most importantly, I want you to feel your best. And that starts with being comfortable in what you’re wearing. I can help with choosing based on the time in your life or the location we will be. 


My client closet is available for my clients to use if they choose. If you’d like to wear what you have, that is absolutely okay too. I can also help with coordinating patterns and textures.



Below are some things to keep in mind- whether you are using my client closet or wearing something you already have.

BE COMFORTABLE. If you are not feeling your best, that will come through in your images. 


Neutral and earthy colors are best! Whites, creams, tan, blacks and caramels photograph best. Any color will work, in a mildly hued tone. In the same breath, if you have a color that you love and feel confident in, wear that! 


Matching vs. coordinating! Try to coordinate, things that look well together, but are not exactly the same. If you are matchy matchy and wearing the same exact color, it can sometimes make you look like a blob and we don’t want that. Just remember, it doesn’t have to match, it just has to go! 


Textures- incorporate them when you can! 


Things to avoid.

Neon colors- as they are distracting and sometimes can take away from you. 

Busy patterns and bold stripes- as they tend to pull the focus from you as well. 



Come to your session ready to have fun. To dance and twirl and create memories to cherish for years to come.
